A - Straight add-on

The cooling infrastructure timeline is just as brutal. Even with power and equipment sorted, chiller lead times are pushing 18-24 months in some regions, and you can't commission servers without thermal capacity in place. Site readiness now means orchestrating at least four parallel procurement tracks instead of two.

B - Humor-forward

So "site-ready" used to mean "we have power and a concrete slab." Now it apparently means "we have power, transformers on order, a backup generator deal signed, switchgear locked in, and a Gantt chart that would make a shipyard jealous." Much simpler times ahead.

C - Constructive pushback

The equipment bottleneck is real, but framing it as a pure procurement problem misses half the story. Many developers are still designing to outdated density assumptions - spec'ing for 10-15 kW/rack when AI workloads need 40+. No amount of early ordering fixes a substation that was underbuilt from day one.
